Vitas Mockaitis is a leading trial lawyer who has briefed and argued many cases before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Mr. Mockaitis has presented numerous seminars concerning injured workers’ rights and benefits before unions and labor organization throughout the state of Illinois.Mr. Mockaitis was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 1, 1956. He received his Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree from University of Illinois, Chicago in 1980. He received his Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in 1985. Mr. Mockaitis was admitted to the bar in 1985.
Mr. Mockaitis has authored and co-authored several guides and information pamphlets concerning workers’ compensation issues as they relate to injured workers’ in Illinois. Subjects included: repetitive trauma and over use injuries; injured workers’ medical rights under the Act; guide book for injured workers’ in Illinois.
Mr. Mockaitis is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. In addition, Mr. Mockaitis is BV® (high to very high) rated in Martindale-Hubbell for both legal ability and professional ethics.
